Fuego 9U Fuego Dominates Championship Sunday

The 9U Fuego team battled through ups and downs to claim an impressive tournament championship with grit and offensive firepower. In pool play, they held on for a thrilling 10-9 victory over the Morgan Hill Toros, but fell to the Bombers by the same score, 10-9, in a tightly contested game.

Championship Sunday was where Fuego truly shined, starting with an 11-7 semifinal win against a strong CGE team.The championship game gave Fuego a rematch with the Bombers, and this time, they left no doubt, dominating in a 20-12 victory to secure the title.

Max Mauldin led the charge, earning Tournament MVP honors with a remarkable 7 hits, including a double and 2 triples, 3 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. Mauldin also showcased his toughness and dedication, catching for the team through the heat, providing a strong defensive presence while excelling offensively.
