Fuego 10U: TPR Halloween Classic Runner Up
Fuego 10U finishes 2nd place at the USSSA TPR Halloween Classic in Manteca and Ripon, California, winning 11-1 in the quarter final, 2-1 in the semifinal, then losing on a walk off to the Cal Valley Shuckers 9-8 in the Championship game.
Proud of the way this team stepped up for each other. When the whole team is contributing, and most importantly, having fun while competing at a high level, it makes all the work we put in that much more rewarding – Coach Mike
On Saturday the Fuego 10U team came out ready to play, beating a solid Corcoran Cubs team 9-3 in the first game by playing solid defense, manufacturing runs and getting solid pitching from Dylan Manago and Jaxon Ash. Game two saw the boys down 10-3, only to score 7 runs in the 4th to tie the game up in a battle, but losing the game 13-10 vs CC Alpha Elite… but Fuego would get some revenge the next day.
In the end, it was a fun, exciting and rainy weekend of baseball for this Fuego club, and we are proud of the resilience and teamwork they demonstrated on the field, and taking home the 2nd place hardware.
