Fuego 11U (2032) Take 2nd Place at the Back to School Bash

The Fuego Baseball 11U (2032) team showed toughness and resilience at the Back to School Bash, played August 9–10, 2025, in Morro Bay. They finished as runners-up after a weekend filled with comebacks, timely hitting, and strong pitching.

They opened the tournament with an 11-4 win over the FCCB Sharks. A six-run second inning fueled the victory, highlighted by big hits from Dylan M, Tait P, and Barrett L. Rocco R started on the mound and kept the Sharks in check, while Barrett led the offense with three RBIs.

In their second game, Fuego held off a late rally to beat Central Coast Bulls 8-7. Dylan starred at the plate with three hits and also shut the door with three scoreless innings of relief. James G and Camden P chipped in with key RBIs, and the defense stayed error-free to secure the win.

Sunday morning brought another comeback, this time against the Coasters. Trailing by four, the boys rallied with a five-run fourth inning, capped by a clutch double from Mayson M that drove in two. Joey C dominated out of the bullpen with three shutout innings as Fuego pulled out a 6-4 victory.

The championship berth was set, but Venom 11U proved too much in the final. Venom broke the game open with a seven-run third inning on the way to an 11-3 win. Barrett L provided an RBI single and James G swiped three bags to spark the offense, but the rally wasn’t enough.

Fuego 11U left Morro Bay with a second-place finish, backed by scrappy at-bats, steady pitching, and a never-quit attitude. The weekend showed this group can battle with anyone, and the experience sets the stage for a strong season ahead.
