Fuego 11U (2032) Win Pineapple Express Championship

The Fuego Baseball 11U (2032) team delivered an impressive weekend at the Pineapple Express, held February 1–2, going undefeated and capturing the championship behind big bats, steady pitching, and aggressive baserunning.

They opened pool play with a tight 6-4 win over Blast TATB. James G tied the game with an RBI single, and Fuego pulled ahead in the fourth when Tait Puntanilla and Joey C each drove in runs. Mayson M started and struck out two, while Joey C closed it out with more than two innings of scoreless relief. Barrett L added two hits and two stolen bases to pace the offense.

Game two saw the bats explode in a 16-1 rout of Central Coast Dirtbags. Vincent M went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, and Tait matched him with a 3-for-3, five-RBI performance. On the mound, Rocco Rios worked 2.2 innings with four strikeouts to seal the mercy-rule win.

On Sunday, Fuego stayed hot with a 10-2 win over DBA Crushers Gold. Camden P had a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double, while Vincent and Tait each added RBI doubles in the first inning. Mayson M added two RBIs on a single in the third. Mayson also started on the mound, striking out two over nearly four innings before Jacob B finished with a scoreless relief outing.

The championship game brought another meeting with Blast TATB, and Fuego finished the job with a 5-3 win. Vincent M put the team on the board early with an RBI single, while Barrett and Mayson extended the lead with timely hits and walks. Dylan M went the distance on the mound, striking out seven in six strong innings. Vincent and James G fueled the lineup with back-to-back hits, and Barrett and James each swiped multiple bases to keep pressure on.
