Fuego 12U (2032) Win Championship at the Ultimate Labor Day Tournament

The Fuego Baseball 12U (2032) team made a statement at the Ultimate Labor Day Tournament, played August 30–September 1, 2025, powering their way to a championship in their first tournament since moving up from 11U. The weekend was marked by big bats, strong pitching, and sharp defense.

They opened pool play with an 8-0 shutout over Show California Canes. Vincent M sparked the offense with an inside-the-park homer, while Barrett L and Rocco R added key RBI hits. On the mound, Mayson M struck out five in two-plus innings before handing it to Rocco, who kept the shutout intact.

The boys stumbled in game two, falling 11-1 to Citi Pirates after a tough third inning. James G provided the lone highlight with a solo home run, but the loss didn’t derail the weekend.

Fuego bounced back in dominant fashion against Living Legends White, scoring 13 runs in the first inning on their way to a 16-1 win. James G and Camden P each homered, while Vincent went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead a 14-hit attack.

The momentum carried into Sunday with a 9-0 win over San Carlos Missions Orange. Vincent and Barrett drove in four runs in the opening frame, and James G and Camden P combined on the shutout. The team ran wild on the bases, swiping nine bags without committing an error.

In bracket play, Fuego rolled past Pleasanton Outlaws 7-3 behind a balanced effort. Mayson Martinez was lights out on the mound, tossing 3 1/3 innings of two-hit ball with five strikeouts to set the tone. Vincent and James fueled the offense with clutch RBI singles, while Dylan M closed it out with nearly three shutout innings.

The championship was sealed with a statement win over the Citi Pirates, this time an 8-0 shutout. James G struck out 10 batters across nearly five innings, and the offense broke it open with a five-run fifth. Mayson launched a solo home run, Rocco drove in two with a single, and James helped his own cause with an RBI hit. Fuego finished with 13 hits and flawless defense to close out the title.

It was a complete team effort all weekend at the Ultimate Labor Day Tournament — power at the plate, speed on the bases, dominant pitching, and steady defense. For their first 12U event, the 2032 squad showed they are ready to compete at the next level, bringing home a championship in style.
