Fuego 9U (2034) Capture NCS End of Season Finale Championship
The Fuego Baseball 9U (2034) team closed out their season in style, winning the NCS End of Season Finale with a championship run fueled by clutch hitting, aggressive baserunning, and resilience in tough games.
They opened the tournament with a 14-3 win over the Knights. The offense came out firing in the first inning with RBIs from Ohshiro M, Graydon T, and Brandon D, who smashed an inside-the-park home run. The team piled up 15 hits overall, with Aydin B and Ohshiro each going 3-for-3 and Graydon adding a triple. Ohshiro also struck out six over two innings, while the defense turned in another clean game with 11 stolen bases.
In their second game, Fuego stayed hot with a 6-1 win over CAL 9U. Connor K was hit by a pitch to bring in the tying run before Ohshiro, Brandon D, and a CAL error helped spark a three-run third inning. Logan C started and gave up just one run in two innings, while Graydon and Julian W each collected two hits. Fuego ran wild once again, swiping eight bases.
Saturday closed with a thriller, a 10-9 win over Wolfpack 10U. Graydon led the way with four RBIs, including a two-run double and an inside-the-park home run. Despite falling behind 6-0, Fuego rallied with a five-run second inning to take control. Aydin B and Julian W each had two hits, while the pitching staff held on to secure the win.
In the semifinal, Fuego defeated Ballerz Academy 10-2. Graydon went 3-for-3 with five RBIs, while Brandon and Julian combined to go 4-for-4. On the mound, Julian pitched four strong innings, striking out three without allowing an earned run.
The championship game against Delta Valley–Blanchard was a back-and-forth battle, but Fuego came out on top 9-8. Graydon delivered a perfect 4-for-4 day with a double and three singles, while Julian, Aydin, and Brandon all chipped in with multiple hits. After falling behind 6-2, the boys stormed back with a five-run third inning to take the lead. Yamato H closed it out with two shutout innings, and the defense stayed steady without committing an error.
Fuego 9U finished the weekend as champions, showcasing balanced hitting, relentless speed on the bases, and steady pitching. The End of Season Finale victory capped off an incredible run and showed the team’s growth and fight all year long.
